2503 Hullfa.gs
As many other threads seem to occasionally descend into Hullfa.gs madness, I just promised on the Nando's /nom/ thread to put up a thread for any kind of potential meetup in and around the area. Depending on cash and all that, if I manage to get a decentish job and a bit of spare cash, I wouldn't mind lending a bit. Could always sit in Queenies on the ramp outside Gosschalks with a bo?le of whatever filthy cider.
What say you?

I leave in a month for two years. Let's sort something within the next month. Given the nature of Hull it will be great when we get there and we all already know each other.

Took a pic yesterday. Anybody notice the selection from Marvell's "Coy Mistress" translates as "'knickers off, love, only have a few short years!"?

Finished it in 2004, got an A* as it happens. I quite liked "An Inspector Calls." Larkin's quite good though, the poem "The Building" paints a pretty grim picture about waiting around in the Hull Royal. There's a canteen on the second floor that has a framed copy of the poem, which made me contemplate for a good half an hour the reasons behind putting it on the wall. Chilling reading.

I can gladly report that I can make it into Hull this weekend, but I am absolutely skint right now :-(
Shall we meet about 11ish at the fountain in Queen's Park on Saturday? I guess we can all meet up wearing Hull City shirts or something.

I was more thinking that we could indulge ourselves a little bit, in the local Hull way.

>The court heard that Hall was seen having sex with the goat by a man walking with his grandson near Argyle Street allotments. Hall hid but then backed into view again, with his trousers round his ankles and a tight grip on the goat.

>He pleaded guilty to buggery at an earlier hearing. Rebecca Thornton, prosecuting, said the goat had suffered distress during the assault, which went on for up to 10 minutes.

I had a night that ended in Pizza Hot down Newland with cheesy chips blathered in chip spice and mayo, and there was a bald bloke trying it on with a nice studenty lass. I kid you not, his chat-up line was "So, what's your favourite sandwich, love?"

Pizza Hot once charged me £5.80 for a 10" pizza which is bad enough already but it was advertised as having anchovies and came with none. As a result I'll never go back in. Also, they put their cheesy chips in a metal tray and warm it up so all the cheese melts and I like when food have some kind of hot-cold interface.

Oh look, an autism button!

Back to the point, let's all go to Spiders some time.
