I can see a pretty looking girl wearing a pair of whale skin breeches in my "liked you" section of Tinder. I don't have a paid account, but it's very obvious who this girl would be as not many people wear them in my area.

Yet I haven't come across her once in the actual swiping. Am I being baited into continuing to use the app by an algorithm that always keeps at least one "liked you" back?

Oh. More hilarious word filters. I'm talking about a kind of head scarf worn for religious reasons.

I think it is a form of skinner box advertising they use I strongly suspect she doesn't exist.

This is what I suspect, too. Other "liked you" people have rolled around long before her, yet she remains.

If she doesn't exist, or even if it's just being artificially held back, it's a brutally cynical tactic.

IME those likes are real. If op hasn't seen the lass then it's because she's outside of his maximum distance or age range.

Welcome to the real world, mate. The one where algorythms are programmed to screw you over. Try to google something about the "Ashley Madison data breach".

That's odd. Does my profile appear for people "incompatible" profiles like that? I sort of assumed we'd have to be within each other's ranges to even appear in the choices.

I see tons of 18 year olds but I very much doubt any of them have their age range set to see my late thirties mug pop up and put them off their cornflakes.

Tough age. Too old for Prince Andrew, too young for you.

Totally counterintuitive, but alright, I'll try broadening my ranges just to see.

What do the three burnt matches mean?

Three strikes and you're out? She is out? WHY?

Do not broaden it too much. Nothing is creepier than somebody with a "18 to 99" age match.

No one else can tell what your target age range is unless you go around super-liking them. That said, I can't imagine what horrors lurk in the Over 35 netherworld says the man over 35 who wonder why he never gets matches any more.

Your prime shagging days fizzle out at the end of your 20s. Early 30s, tops. Sad but inevitably true.

Doesn't mean you won't be having sex again after your 30th birthday and going into your mid-30s and beyond. It just won't be the carefree world class bonking that it was ten years earlier.

That's not been my experience, to be honest. Really depends on how you take care of yourself, how much independence you have as a younglad, and how much you put yourself out there.

>>433142

I had my profile set as the default 10+/- years, and actually things weren't that bad. Either I live in a nice city or the algorithm is being incredibly kind to me.

>>433130

Tweaked the age filter so it's a 18 to 40 (I'm more or less in the middle at 29), and also increased the location to 100 miles.

Another morning of swiping and I still haven't come across her.

Maybe she liked me and then moved away or set a new location before I could like her back. Or it could really be that Tinder is holding a carrot on a stick.

Probably. Tinder isn't your friend. They're on the top-grossing chart of the Play store for a reason. It's in their interest to string you along so you end up invested and desperate enough to buy Tinder platinum.

No shit, Sherlock. Save your time and go on adultwork, it's one of the few honest sites on the internet.

She's also mysteriously disappeared altogether now. Ah well, no cute eskimo girl for me.
